Quantum Multiverse of Cooking ..... or How I Learned to Bake a Croissant

Quantum Multiverse of Cooking
or .....
How I Learned to Bake a Croissant

Well, bake a croissant ..... might ..... be a stretch. I know how to defrost it and then bake it until brown.

BUT THAT COUNTS!!!!

And a very busy ..... Quantum Multiverse ..... of baking and cooking this weekend, so just the quick update with photos! LOL!

First BREAD! Decided to make a 2 lb. loaf of garlic cheese, and it mostly turned out. Not that garlic-ey, so need to put more garlic in. Not quite that cheesey, so need more Parmesan, and definitely won't do the 2 lb again. Bread machine STRUGGLED to keep up, and I had to add some water to make it a bit more consistent, part way through. Top part still looks a meteorite landed in my backyard ..... but I like crusty bread anyways!

Then, made the croissants from frozen, leaving overnight to puff up ..... but they didn't! So baked them anyways and they turned out perfectly!!! DELICIOUS! Just beginner's luck though!

Then, leftovers ..... LOTS OF THEM! Grabbed the last few chicken breasts from the freezer, and oven roasted them all! About half were with Panko, the other half with cracker crumbs and lots of leftovers now!

Then a busy weekend down to the museum to see IMAX and the MAMMOTH! My favourite part of the museum! Wonder what THAT tasted like! LOL!

Quantum Chicken Veggie Rice Curry Leftover Dinner DELIGHT!

Quantum Chicken Veggie Rice Curry
Leftover Dinner DELIGHT!

WHAT A FABULOUS LEFTOVER DINNER! And meets all my exacting, professional requirements: fast, quick, easy, tasty, colourful...and did I mention....fast? AND EASY!!!!!!!

Okay, so basic ingredients are: leftover chicken breast (roasted last night (with cream cheese and asparagus!), rice, olive oil, veggies (asparagus, carrots, snap peas, broccoli, onions, green beans, yellow sweet pepper strips, water chestnuts, garlic and lots of it!!! But really, put any veggies in that you LOVE TO EAT! Oh yes, need the special secret ingredient - Glico Curry HOT SAUCE! Recipe is actually from the secret archives of T-Kat!!!

Chopped up some of the chicken breasts, carrots, garlic and onions and although potatoes called for, did not have any! Oh well! PUT ASPARAGUS IN INSTEAD!

Used a big pot, and fried up the onions, garlic, carrots and chicken breasts for a few minutes, to get them nice and toasty, then put the rest of the veggies in, as well as 2 cups of water and bring to boil and cook for about 10-20 minutes until all tender. THEN - SECRET INGREDIENT TIME! Break up the curry chunks and put in the whole pot...they actually melt quite fast! And then stir until it has boiled down to a nice paste and .. does it ever smell good!

Almost ready to eat! SO EASY TO MAKE TOO!

Warm the rice...yeah, that was a bit of leftovers too, but still tasty! And then you have instant meal!

Serve with .. BEER OF COURSE! This was incredibly easy to make and I now have even MORE leftovers for the next few days!

Dinner is served .. WITH BEER this time! And leftovers GALORE!
Yeah, a little sparse on how I made the chicken breasts, but ... here are a couple of previous chicken breast recipes:

Enjoy and try something different each time.....if only the BEER!
